New DVD-ROM, SUSE did not notice.

I change my DVD-ROM on my linux box Suse 10.0 OSS Unfortunatly the system did not notice the change and now is seeing the old LG DVD-RW in place of my new NEC. This will not be a very big problem but I can not access my DVD-ROM.

My questions are:

How can I uninstall the old device?
How can I make my system see the new DVD and to be able to use it.

I try some thing for example editing fstab after i read one of the thread from this site.
It did not work.

In Yast -> Hardware -> CDRoms

You can remove the old one and add the new one from there.

Thanks zackarya but my problem was not the linux. I find out today that there is a problem (conflict) betwene my HDD WD and DVD-ROM.
