Problem with CD Rom/DVD Drives in Suse 10 and K Audio Creator

I hope somebody can help with this minor but annoying problem

When I use KAudioCreator to copy tracks from CD's onto the hard drive it doesnt see any CD Rom or DVD drives. Each time I have to run Control Panel then Yast2 Modules, then Hardware then CD Rom Drives as soon as this is done then everything works

Can anyone advise what I need to change so this done when the system boots which is what used to happen with previous versions of Suse?

Thanks for any help

Robin

Strange!
Does this affect KAudioCreator only, or do you have a general problem mounting CD/DVD media?
Maybe you can select the device directly in KAudioCreator (use /dev/hdx instead of /dev/cdrom).
