I'm working with a PS3 that has Yellowdog 5 on it, and having trouble getting the wireless to work. Network configuration says that the status is active, but for some reason it wouldn't activate as a DHCP - it only worked by setting the IP address statically. When Firefox is opened the "Welcome to Yellowdog Linux" page displays, but it will not display any web pages I type in. Any suggestions?

I want to be clear on something: you imply that interface is working and you can connect to the outside world when you set everything by hand,
correct? If so, the problem is something in your DHCP setup and not your hardware or drivers. Since I don't run Yellow Dog (I don't even know
what version 5 of it translates to in a mainstream distro), all I can suggest is looking at how dhcpcd (or whatever your DHCP client daemon is)
is called from your init scripts along with any config files it takes.

One other possibility is that it has nothing to do with your PS3 but rather the DHCP server on the other end: have you verified it's working?
