ok right, i installed YDL on my ps3 with out a hitch, it starts up and i get kboot/ and then i type in ydl to run that the screen will go black. I think it is loading as my ps3 makes noises for a while. I am using the sony AV multi cable for my video and sound output, i didnt know whther this was to do with the problem, or have i installed it wrong. I have tried typing in ydl text and thay seems to give me the log in screen, but being a windows user since i was very little, i would much prefer a graphical interface to a text one that i odnt really understand.

If you can access the partition where the distro is installed, copy the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file and post it here. It's probably just a misconfigured video driver.
