hi guys, i recently got hold of a copy of yellow dog version 5.0.1 for my playstation 3. uploaded it for the multimedia functions such as internet use which was lacking on the playstation 3. the problem i have is plug ins. are there any software available for plug ins. for instance, i want to look at something on youtube, it tells me i need to get the latest edition of adobe flash player and gives me loads of options to download but none of them work? any ideas what i am doing wrong or what exactly i must download. i am new to linux so probably going around it in all the wrong ways.

IIRC: YDL5 has firefox... in firefox, go to tools > addons or loox here.

Normally, if you are missing a plugin, you get a jigsaw icon in the place of the thingy (like the youtube movie). Click the icon to get the required plugin.

Note: there are no plugins for some media, like Macromedia shockwave.
I don't know if YDL has proprietary codec support out of the box.
