Question Kodak Digital Camera (USB Snag)

I have connected my new Kodak DX4330 Digital Camera to my SuSE 8 box and all works well when logged in as root, using I presume gphoto2 & digikam from KDE I can access the camera and it works a real treat. If I then log in as a normal user I cannot access the camera, sounds like a permissions thing on the camera device.
The camera is detected from root as a USB PTP Camera.

Any one know where this device will show up and how I set the permissions on it........or am I barking up the wrong tree.

Any tips gladly received....

Have a look at this example of a fine manual.
