Help! Can't Mount Kodak Digital Camera

Hello everyone,
I know you people get tired of answering questions about the same
thing, but I have spent an entire day trying to get a Kodak CX 7330 to
mount on MDK 10.

I have read all I can find in the forums and tried almost everything
anyone has suggested but I can't seem to get this thing to mount.

The camera shows up in Harddrake as a USB PTP class camera. I
did the test and it said the test was successful, but the config. failed,
with the message, unsupported operation.

With the camera on the proc/bus/usb says its there but when I
do a dmseg it is not there, so therefore I have no idea where to go
from here. I sure would appreciate if someone could give me a little
push in the right direction. I don't know all I should about Linux anyway.

Thank you very much
Dooley

Did you try to use FLPhoto? When I plug my kodak 3500 into the usb port it sees it and set it up fine.

Thanks courtrrb for your reply.

No, I haven't tried flphoto or gphoto as of yet. I have tried to download flphoto rpm and for some reason I can't get it to download from Source Forge. Basically all I need to do is just
get the camera to mount and download the pictures to the HD.

I would think one could mount the camera with some editing of the fstab as you would to mount a cd, floppy or what have you.

As I said before, I don't know as much as I need to know about Linux but it would seem one could mount the camera the same.

Any help you or anyone else could give me would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks
Dooley

If you have the power pack version it available on the cd's. On my system it installs by default and works out of the box.

Hi,

Just a suggestion : gphoto2 works well with my camera, you might be able to install it

from the MCC

Hope that helps
