I am trying to install Huawei ETS 2051 on ubutu 8.04. It a fixed wireless terminal with serial to USB cable. When I first connect it to my compyter system log showed the following messages.

which helps to setup this hardware with linux but i guess this guide doesn't work with ubuntu 8.04 for some reason. I follow every step in above mentioned tutorial but still i am getting this error.
