Can someone please provide some info/insight on getting my hpt-372 raid controller to be recognized ny fedora core 3? I have a Abit BE-7 Raid motherboard with the on-board controller. I tried Highpoints webpage, but it seems the drivers are for Redhat 7,8,9. I tried searching the forums, but didn't find what I was looking for. Thanks for the help.

Try modprobe hpt366 as root, su, or sudo. Though if you want any drives connected to this controller automatically mount during boot up, you have to include hpt366 in the ramdisk file. Though if modprobe gives you an error stating that it can not find it, there is high possiblity it was not compiled in the kernel.

Highpoint has open source drivers so you can compile them for your kernel if you want. The driver version should be the same as the BIOS version of the Highpoint controller.

I have an ABIT TH7II-RAID that has a Highpoint HPT372 chip and the hpt366 module works well.
