hp deskjet 3940 printing support

hai friends this is my first posting in forums . im using linux with kernel verson 2.6.x.x . i have hp desk jet 3940 printer. is there is any driver for it..
pls help me..

The hplip package will include hpijs. You might need to download the latest version depending on the version that your distro supplies and whether your particular printer is already supported.

I have been able to use this printer (hp3940) w/ success from both a knoppix cd, and fc5 kernel 2.6.x.x.
Originally I used cups, and now use the hplips stuff.
I hate this printer now and always have, even under windows xp.. it goes through ink like crazy and jams constantly. But it is only fair, and almost good, seeing as it was $20 nib at wal-mart...
