help...no sound with usb PCTV using dapper ubuntu


Please can someone explain to me how I can get sound working without running sox, I'm using ubuntu dapper with a usb Pinnacle PCTV RC6 Rev 1.2A

Found this on the net, the sounds working now but I have to run sox first
