Question Help buying an external modem

I am considering buying a new modem. One that is external, I seen one online for a decent price. It is a Zoom Modem V.92 USB Mini Model 3090. Will this one be copmapitable with redhat 8.0 I would appreciate any assiatnce

If I were you, I would go for a serial port modem rather than usb.

Cheap serial modem I have on order

Hi,
I searched this for you and the model 3090 does not specifically say to suppor Linux but model 3048 does. Now the 3090 is USB and the 3048 is serial. This kind'a enforces the suggestion to get a serial modem instead of a USB
