I have a Hayes Modem too

Cameron:

I have a Hayes 5675 v.90 modem that works perfectly fine with Windows. I need a modem for a FC4 machine I am building and I would like to use this modem in the Linux machine. I don't find this particular modem on the Linux HCL, however.

Did you ever success in getting your Hayes modem to work? Do you have any advice on getting mine working?

Regards,

dbruso

Hi,

I had this problem before I went satellite broadband. After some kind advice from someone in this forum I discovered that my modem was a Winmodem, i.e. only works with Windows ....

Thanks for the reply

David:

Thanks for the reply and the advice. I found that that is exactly my problem with this modem. I have purchased an external modem instead!

dbruso
