I have a Hayes 5675 v.90 modem that works perfectly fine with Windows. I need a modem for a FC4 machine I am building and I would like to use this modem in the Linux machine. I don't find this particular modem on the Linux HCL, however.
Did you ever success in getting your Hayes modem to work? Do you have any advice on getting mine working?
I had this problem before I went satellite broadband. After some kind advice from someone in this forum I discovered that my modem was a Winmodem, i.e. only works with Windows ....
As a "newbie" myself and a complete Linux Flintstone, I am glad to have been of assistance..... but only passing on acquired knowledge from this forum. Great, isn't it....
