I have a painful issue - my only one with fedora core 6 actually.
I have 3 HDD's. One which fedora installed on and formatted for itself, and 2 that i chose not to have done during the instalation process because I needed the data.
Drives are as follows:
- /dev/sda 320Gb linux drive (fedora instalation) >>Drive1
- /dev/sdb 200Gb drive (currently blank with no FS) >>Drive2
- /dev/sdc 250GB NTFS drive with 2 partitions >>Drive3
Since then I have read off the data (from drive 2) onto my fedora drive (drive1) and wish to reformat the old disks into a linux based file system. The thing is I do not know how to format or mount (I can mount a NTFS partition).
I searched and google spat out a command makefs / mkfs but it does not exist in fedora core.
I have kernel 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 i686 if that helps.
Please help me, I would be very greatful.
