GPS Hardware


Is there a list with supported GPS hardware for linux?
I am searching for a USB or serial card, that will communicate with ntpd and be used for getting the correct time.

My Garmin 60cs (USB) is recognized by Fedora.

In a broad scope take a look at the ntp site for complete documentation.

Any receiver that can output NMEA messages via USB or a regular serial port will work. If you are looking for microsecond precision then you will need a receiver that also has a 1 pulse per second output like:
