I notice somewhere on here in a thread, I don't remember where anymore, but someone said they had got gps running on linux. I have searched the web and did all kinds of things, but I can't find good map/gps software anywhere. Does anyone know of some good gps software for linux? Or of some windows software that will run through wine?

I already have gpsdrive installed, but I dont find any way to make it go to a certain address, or look up gas stations, places to eat, or anything. Does anyone know about another program?

Will MS Streets and Trips work with wine? The 2006 Version comes with a GPS receiver and software that interfaces with your laptop via USB and really works nice! (sorry, I know it's a MS product). I got the package thru Amazon for about $80.00.

gps, usb
