Finger Print scanner

i have hp pavilion dv6 3049tx, recently i have installed linux based operating system on it. But I am unable to use my finger print scanner to manage my passwords. I looked for drivers on it, but the whole search was in vain. Could somebody help me ?

You have not provided enough information for us to help. What information can you provide for the biometric scanner? Distribution? Kernel?
