dvb-T NOVA-T not working

I've the NOVA-T dvb Hauppage dongle 70019 which used to work on kernel 3.2 (Ubuntu 12.04). Upgrading to kernel 4.4 (Ubuntu 16.04), it no longer works. The lsusb output is:

Code:
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 2040:7070 Hauppauge Nova-T Stick 3
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
while the demsg |tail output is:

Code:
[ 748.232913] usb 1-3: SerialNumber: 4034658530
[ 748.237908] dvb-usb: found a 'Hauppauge Nova-T Stick' in cold state, will try to load a firmware
[ 748.248092] dvb-usb: downloading firmware from file 'dvb-usb-dib0700-1.20.fw'
[ 748.454528] dib0700: firmware started successfully.
[ 748.956341] dvb-usb: found a 'Hauppauge Nova-T Stick' in warm state.
[ 748.956593] dvb-usb: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream to the software demuxer.
[ 748.956967] DVB: registering new adapter (Hauppauge Nova-T Stick)
[ 749.180943] usb 1-3: DVB: registering adapter 0 frontend 0 (DiBcom 7000PC)...
[ 749.399186] DiB0070: successfully identified
[ 749.399200] dvb-usb: Hauppauge Nova-T Stick successfully initialized and connected.
So everything seems OK but it doesn't work when I activate smplayer Version: 15.11.0.

I installed dvb-apps and sudo femon output is:

Code:
FE: DiBcom 7000PC (DVBT)
Problem retrieving frontend information: Resource temporarily unavailable
status | signal 0% | snr 0% | ber 2 | unc -1218430384 |
Any idea as to why it doesn't work. Thanks for your help.

I reply to myself if that can help others since I have it working now. It seems that my previous channels.conf file was not OK. I did a new w_scan to create a new channels.conf file:

Quote:
w_scan -F -t2 -c GB -X > ~/.tzap/channels.conf
and tested with the command:

Quote:
/usr/bin/tzap -r -c ~/.tzap/channels.conf "Channel 4"
It worked fine. I copied the channels.conf into ~/.mplayer and mplayer as well as smplayer worked fine. Pb solved.
