Wink DVB Nova-T how to install in Linux 9.1 HELP?


Hi guys, I have an hauppauge win TV Nova-T, PCI, DVB. which I had working in win98
but I have moved to Linux. I'm never going back to the Boys in Blue.

can some one guide me how to get it working in Linux. for a total dummy, as I have heard it's quit hard. but am keen to learn

my system

Suse Linux personal 2.6.4-52-default i686
1800XP
128MB ram
Nova-T PCI DVB



be great for any help given

where can I get a driver

where can I get a Driver for this card [Nova-T]

Does any one Know a ternimal command for finding out what my Kernal is

what software could I use with the Nova-T

also Susepulgger says it has found an Technotrend Systemtechnik SAA7146 unknown

Driver Info #0:
Driver Status: budget-ci is not active
Driver Activation Cmd: "modprobe budget-ci"

I should be o.k at seting up the transimitter info, as I once built radios, and was in to Radio electronics

That has changed in mepis 3.4.3 as of 2006 cant belive it works now

thx for the feedback on this. A lot of people don't bother updating old threads but it's invaluable to searchers - soon tux will take over the world...muhahhahhahhahhahhahhah
