Connecting a DVD player to video card To watch on CRT

hi,
Im trying to connect a standard external DVD player to my computer by hooking up its S-Video output to my graphics card ( GeForce 6600 GT ) and im not sure how to play back the video on Gnome/KDE ? Does Xine accept inputs from S-Video inputs off my graphics card ?

Are you sure that card has TV-in? I searched that card and it has
standard 15pin out
DVI-out
Svideo-out
