cant istall sound card nor configure printer

hi,
i just instaled mandrake9.2 linux in my computer. i couldnt configure the sound card so i went and i bought a new one but still have same problem...

sound card by EZ media pci 4.1 channel output

i tried harddrake but coudlnt make it work please help

also i have hp deskjet 932c also same problem cant make it work...

Could you post the output of lspci?

try going to the printer config and changing the driver

thanks for replaying guys but am a new user for linux. sorry didnt get what u mean by could you post the output of lspci?

... when i go to printerdrake it ask me this quistion:
Please insert the medium named "Installation CD 1 (x86) (cdrom1)" on device [/dev/hdc]

i try to insert the cd that came with the printer but it doesnt accept it and asks the same q again!!!!

also please if some one can help me with the sound card i realy want it to work... thanks for your help

i changed the driver for the sound card and it worked thank you so much....

but i still have the problem with the printer hp deskjet 932c

By the way the Installation CD 1 that the dialog box refers to is Mandrake's first install CD (not the printer's).

How did you install the distribution?

By the way CD means CD or DVD.
