alpha 4100 and mandrake 9.2?

Hi guys

I have a chance at accquiring a DEC Alpha 4100 dual 600 mhz box but I want to put Mandrake on it. Is there an Alpha distro?

(Haven't had much luck googling for this

Debian is the only one that comes to mind but I am not an expert...

I was able to find a "Linux on Alpha" site but from the looks of it, alot of it was beta/unsupported stuff. Open VMS and UNIX true 64 are the only OS's written for the Alpha.

Oh well.

How does Linux run on Xeon chips? I can get a Quad Xeon P3 500 Mhz system for the lint in my belly button, think it's worth it?
