Why I can't start my system?


My System is CentOS4.2. Today I installed Java1.4.2,and edit etc/profile to add enviroment variables.When I reboot I found my system can't start.
Has anyone met this problem before? What should I do now? Thanks very much!

are you getting any error messages when you try to start up?
