Question from this side of the pond: what the hell is this rootbeer that you all seem to drink over there? I know parsnip wine... Personally, if I were a sysadmin, I think I'd get through a lot of chamomile tea.
unlike actual beer or wine, rootbeer is alcohol free but usually filled with so much sugar that it makes your teeth hurt.
And if you are diabetic, it may be a one way ticket to the root cellar.
Parsnip wine sounds good too. Right now I am enjoying rootbeer flavored black tea though.
Thanks for the reply!
Rootbeer is disgusting - that's all you need to know. It tastes nothing like beer, more like sugar and black licorice blended together into a carbonated beverage.

I hate black licorice that tastes nothing like Root b which I like, maybe it was the brand? Not like Dr. Pepper yuck like drinking an ashtray I'd even take Wild Turkey over it although here we have Everclear grate for stripping paint! Espresso whole milk and raw sugar mmmm...

Original American rootbeer comes from the sassafras tree root. We used to dig up the sassafras root and wash it then chew on it. Great taste! If you like root beer then try some from a home brewer.
