webCAM setup

I recently bought a Kensington videoCAM VGA, for my computer, and it works fine in windows, but i'm a more avid linux user, and of course, i want to make it work in linux. Could someone please give me a clue as to how i go about getting it up and running. i'm currently installing G-Photo3.0 on my computer and i'm going to see if that works tomorrow, but if anyone has a better solution, please share, because i would really like to know. I'm running Red hat 7.0 (pretty sure 2.2 kernel) on the KDE. Thanks a lot
