Web Ap to play images as movie

I have a server that stores images from IP based cameras. I am looking for something that would allow me to log in via web from anywhere, list the the image folders and play them at different speeds if I choose, as a flip page animation or movie and be able to index into it by time.

The images are saved in a new folder each day and are saved with a time index in the file name, each camera in it's own folder.

I just can't find the right search terms to get close to anything I am looking for through Google.

It is on a Suse box with Apache running. PHP, Java, ???????

thanks for any help
