syslogd ?????????????????????


Hi All,

I recently done a cat /var/log/messages and found that my syslogd had restarted without my intervention. Is this normal ?????????

Also I noticed that my date was wrong on my system and corrected it, would this have caused this ????

Check and make sure you don't have anything like logrotate enabled as a cron job or the such.
