Symlink/Linking Question

I'm not sure if this is the right category fo rthis question but here goes.
Let's say I have a directory in webpath httpdocs/stories/file.txt and that's obviously access via: <domainname>/stories/file.txt

Is it possible to also make another directory, say articles in the webspace and simlink that to stories, so that you could also use:
<domain name>/articles/file.txt preventing the need to store the file in two places?

Yes, you can make a symlink and it should work.
