Sun Microsystems -- Linux
Is it true that Sun Microsystems is developing it's own Linux distribution?

Looks like it will ship with GNOME 2.0 as the default.
One thing about the press release though, there's no name for the distribution.
Anyhow, exciting stuff, especially since it's being designed for x86. Only downsite, it seems to be server-side oriented, rather than desktop oriented which is where I would prefer.

yeah sun ditched CDE for ever in favor of gnome, I guess they're working with gnome to get 2.0 perfect (?) before they endorse it with solaris and this new one.
