SCSI Enclosure Services (ses) messages. Error or normal?


Are these error messages or normal? Searching the 'net for "Failed to bind enclosure" and "Failed to get diagnostic page" found only posts about things not working but this device was mounted and used without problem.

The source code at https://bitbucket.org/sarcastillo/re...ers/scsi/ses.c suggests they are error messages; maybe they are of no consequence, applying to the device's enclosure ad not to the HDD within.

Here are the complete messages in context, from /var/log/syslog on plugging a WD 3TB "My Book" USB HDD in to a Debian 7 Wheezy system:
