Have a look at man usermod to see if that's all you need to do. You can use it to change the initial (-g option) and supplementary groups (-G option) for a user.
Do you have bulk updates that you want to do? If so, can you provide an example?
i have to give logins to 100 members in 1 group and there are 3 sets of such members..... as in 3 groups..
i lost the script which i had..

Do you have the newusers command installed on your system? It sounds like it can do what you need. Have a look at man newusers - it should tell you all you need to know.
