This is not really an OS related question. This is about screenlets.org. For a while now I have been unable to access screenlets.org. Apparently, they had a massive crash. Now, every time I do to the web-site, there is a notice about restoring the database. This notice has been up now at 3-4 weeks (if not more). I was wondering if anyone knows what is going on with screenlets.org and if, or when, they will be back up? Thanks
You could write to the webmaster@localhost of the screenlets.org organization or file a complaint about the websites reputation- http://www.webutation.net/go/about
I was able to recover the DB from an old backup from
august 2012, I wanna say thanks to everyone who take
the time to contact me for help.... the DB take about
12GB and takes time to upload 12GB to our server....
please be patient
Special thanks to:

So, unless they changed their URL or some other such thing, Screenlets.org is unobtainable.
I ran "is it down or just me" and ... YES ... the web-site is up.
So, unless they changed their URL or some other such thing, Screenlets.org is unobtainable.
If they did change their URl wouldn't that have been made clear?
I suppose anything is possible. Anyway since you have found that this website is indeed unobtainable it looks like the only thing left to do now is decide how to manage this.
The following is quoted from the owner/webmaster for "screenlets.org".

Hi yes I'm the administrator of screenlets.org, the website is currently
down because of database crash, I was able to recover as website says,
but the upload of this file was taking so long because of my limited
upload bandwith, I restablish the upload and it will take 2 days to
complete.
Thanks for contacting me.
