RedHat update (kernel) Warning

I recently used the redhat update to download and install the recomended kernel updates. 2.4.3-12enterprise. from 2.4.2-2 the default 7.1 kernel, everything went great except a lilo error. I changed the lilo.conf file and ran lilo and everything went good, otherwise the old kernel would have booted with the wrong tree. However it saved all my kernels and trees and changed the symlink in src tree.

Today I did the system at work, it was slightly a different problem, it removed the old src tree and bombed out before fixing lilo.

If you use it make sure you point lilo to the right boot image, etc and run lilo before rebooting. The symlink in the src tree gets changed in each case but lilo may not be.
