playing *.asf


i can not play *.asf files on my ubuntu 9.10
i load some plugin for asf but i cant cope with it
can you help me

What media player do you use for playback? mplayer, gstreamer, ffmpeg and xine should be able to play asf-streams. Is this stream to be played back in a web browser or "standalone"?
