playing .asf files with xine/mplayer
pl can some1 tell me how do i play .asf files in mplayer/xine..where can i get the plugin?

all codecs for Linux x86 (Win32 .dll and Linux .so)
You will need to install all codecs to '/usr/local/lib/codecs/' then recompile MPlayer so it will recognize the new codecs.

Here is an example of how I play the Advanced Streaming Format file for JackFM:
mplayer -cache 32 http://38.116.132.21/Live_JackFM?MSWMExt=.asf

thank u guys..but if i put these codecs in /usr/lib/win32 then will it work for xine?

create a link to the codec install dir at that location and it will work for both.
