hi,
i was working fine for some days. untill yesterday i restarted my computer because one application was not properly closed. so i restared my computer and after that all booting process when time comes to show the GUI that can help me to choose the Desktop Environment and login. is not showing any thing and it trying to show that (i suppose that is called display manager and it is gdm) is not displaying anything and after some effort the text mode login prompt appears and then comes the try of executing gdm and fails and the loop continues.
so i searched out the LQ forum and google about display manager problem solveing and found not relevent.
i have dual boot system with redhat9 and win2k.
i have installed kde, gnome, xfce installed, and i was useing xfce.
any suggestions?
till your reply i am going to see rc.conf by going text mode and going to do some hit and trial
