Unhappy No sound


I had my sound blaster working with audigy 2 zs then it just stopped, no reason I can find. p/n# p7678A01-00 SB0358, Build VERISON51.12.04.0445

When you do post, please provide what Linux distribution and version you are using. What if any software, hardware, or operating system changes that may have occurred prior to the problem. What if any troubleshooting steps you've done.

If you have alsa installed, run command: alsamixer to open the mixer, look for a channel called Audigy digital output jack or similar and mute it, to keep alsa settings run command: alsactl store. If you do not have alsa installed but have a mixer installed, same thing, make sure the Audigy digital output jack channel is enabled but muted.

Before doing what Brains said, see if running alsaconf as root detects your card and then do what was said above. ^
