Linux Redhat 9 wo't install.
When I try to install Red Hat 9 on Desktop, Server or custom, it gets to a file called slang 1.45-16 and then I get an error saying "error copying file slang 1.45-16 this is a fatal error and setup will be aborted. Check that the hard drive is not full. This may be a media problem."
Ironically it stops on the ad screen that says " Red Hat Linux, better than duct tape.'' To me its worse than sticky tape. On workstion mode it gets to a file called Isof 4.63-4, hangs for a while and goes to a dos screen that says "setup exited abnormally. it is safe to reboot your computer." my computer is as follows:
Pentium 3 550 mhz
64mb ram
20gb hdd
nvidia tnt2 riva model 64 video card
liteon cd-rom
Partions:
6gb windows xp (stupid but im im sick of win me crashing), ntfs 6gb /, ext3fs
188mb swap
102mb /boot, ext3fs
6.7 gb files, ntfs
I'm new to linux so imight be doing something stupid. Any Idea's?
Thanx
