Be wary of this, though. It will only work if you
only installed Linux the once.
With this example, doing an
fdisk /mbr will restore:
Installed Windows (or comp came with it).
Install Linux.
Uninstall Linux.
In this example, doing an
fdisk /mbr will not restore it:
Installed Windows (or comp came with it).
Install Linux.

Re-install Linux.
Uninstall Linux.
Basically, when the MBR is overwritten, a copy of the last one is kept. When you do an fdisk /mbr it replaces the current one with the copy...but in the 2nd example both the current one and the copy contain LiLo so it wouldn't be effective.
