Kernel building?

Hi, I'm a relative newbie and I'm looking for some good documentation as to how to build a custom kernel. I'm running Debian Sarge, and I need someplace to learn how to do this. Any ideas?

Try here: http://www.digitalhermit.com/linux/K...ild-HOWTO.html

This includes both 2.4 and 2.6 kernels. If you have the choice, I would say try a 2.6 kernel, as the build process is much more streamlined, but the kernel may not be as stable as 2.4 (I personally haven't had any trouble at all with it).
