kernel build


hi,


i build a new kernel with existing version 2.6 .

while building kernel i selected processor type as :P-III .
this building process done on the P-IV system. and my Hard Disk is IDE.
with p-IV processor it is booting safely and running also.

But when i tried this on the P-III system.It is booting ,but
while booting it is showing message shown below:

this type of message is coming while booting and after boot means while iam
doing some operations..

Please help me to solve this problem

How did u try this kernel on P3 system??

just i build the kernel (make xconfig) with selecting processor as P-III.on p_IV system.and booted with that kernel safely on P-IV system but when i tried it on p-III system it is showing that message which i send previously..

Can you specify the full steps for your kernel compilation.


Also if this system a different one,Are you sure that IDE-Hdd is fine for it.??
