netbeans

My favorite java ide is netbeans: http://www.netbeans.org

It's pure java, open source, costs nothing, and is extremely useful!

Sun repackages the same software and distributes it under the name "Forte" which has a "Community Edition" that is a free download from http://java.sun.com

Hope this helps
