GUI builders


Can somebody give me a link or apt-get install {name} for some good GUI builder for C++ but that isn't VDK ?

Glade2 for GTK2/GNOME apps. Kdevelop and QT Designer for QT/KDE apps.

I have installed glade but I don't know how to open it - i tried with run > glade, glade2, Glade2 ...

you could try

or

Ok that helps. I've run glade but I don't know how to make a simple window - I don't know where to put all those buttons, labels etc. I don't know where is that window (something like window called Form1 in Visual Basic). Can somebody tell me where is that window and where I can drag&drop my components?

Look at the tutorials on the gtk and anjuta websites.

ok. But can someone tell me something about it - just how to do it. I have 5 windows: Palette, Widget tree, Properties and glade <untitled>. Where can I put all those buttons, textboxes etc. ?

I am sure if you had taken a few minutes of your time to take a look at the tutorials, your questions would have been answered by now.

if you're looking for a VB-like programming environment for linux look at Gambas. It's probably what you're after.
