in redhat but how in mandrake?


ok i got a router connected to a dsl modem in redhat i configure my connection with redhat-config-network and tell it to use dhcp and tell automaticly obtain information from provider i couldnt find this in mandy so i cant connect to the internet? ay suggestion on how?

Go into a terminal or boot to console and run netconfig. This should get you going. Know all your information first (primary and secondary DNS IPs, domain name, DHCP server name if needed, DHCP IP address if needed). Hope this helps.

In mandrake its in the mandrake config, you set it there.

it is stupid little machine i don knoe the settings drakconf daesnt have a option like this

Have you tried to the suggestions above? If so, post your error messages if any. In a terminal type: ifconfig eth0 up and post the results here.

In the Mandrake Control Center, you have an option to setup your ethernet card, here's a step by step thing I built on doing it (use what applies, disregard the rest):
