Did you try to find similar thread? This question was asked and answered at least dozen times, I'm absolutely sure that you could find a lot of IDE comparisons and recommendations with any search engine.

I'd recommend vim, jedit or kate + "gnu make" or scons for compiling projects. Or read
this and do google search on the subject.
