Smile How to work with USB modems by AT commands

Dears,

I have a usb modem connected to a CentOS 6.3 32bits and I use gnokii software for sending sms by the modem.

I want to manually send some AT commands to the USB modems and also running some USSD codes by the modem, get response and use the information for my programs. This is happening in a shell script, so the programming language is just a shell script.
so who can help me to use a useful software or working with AT commands?

Many Thanks,
Sina

Welcome to LQ !

The program modem-cmd may do what you want, but also it may be possible to use just the terminal to acomplish your task.
