Will these USB Dialup modems work?

Lots of questions in here on getting specific modems to work (Alcatel Speedtouch, etc), but all I really want to know is, can someone recommend a USB modem to me that will work with Yellow Dog Linux?

i.e. WIll either of these work:

I would like to connect via serial port, but there isn't one on these bl()()dy Macs. ;>

Forget it, after a bout of searching on the web I finally came up with the Aten USB-Serial converter that I bought from www.simply.co.uk (hardly a nip at £50, but never mind). I can now plug in my USB Sportster as normal. Also comes in handy for my laptop which doesn't have serial either. Didn't even know these converter things existed. ;>
