How to add a system service in "ntsysv" list?
Hi all,
I copied a simple shell named "dbora" from an Oracle book. I saved it in */etc/init.d/*. I wanna make it runas a system service. So that book teaches me to do the following procedure.
-----------------------------------------------------------
ln -s /etc/init.d/dbora /etc/rc.d/rc0.d/K05dbora
ln -s /etc/init.d/dbora /etc/rc.d/rc2.d/S95dbora
ln -s /etc/init.d/dbora /etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S95dbora
ln -s /etc/init.d/dbora /etc/rc.d/rc5.d/S95dbora
ln -s /etc/init.d/dbora /etc/rc.d/rc6.d/K05dbora
-----------------------------------------------------------
So I can see my "dbora" service running when I reboot RedHat. But I still cannot find it in "ntsysv".
My question:
1. Can I make it displayed in "ntsysv" list? Since I could decide if it
works next time I reboot the box.
2. I found every shell saved in */etc/init.d/rc(0-6).d/* was called "Kxx" or "Sxx". What does this mean? I mean if I must use that filename.
Any help will be appreciated.
