add "Artist" and "Album Title" to mp3 files

Some of my mp3 files had "Artist" and "Album title" empty.
How to add "Artist" and "Album Title" to mp3 files by the command line so I can write a batch program?
I have a lot of mp3 files so I don't want to do that manually.
KDE is 3.3.
Linux is 2.6.10.

mp3info...check to see if it comes with your distro,it does with debian.

you can search your distros repository for tag or mp3 etc.etc.

id3tool is another one.
