Help (lilo)


I sadely have to reinstall windows which will erase lilo. Who do i make a bootdisk a how do i reinstall lilo?

The easiest way to make a bootdisk would be to check for a utility in your graphical desktop that does this for you. I know that Mandrake and RedHat has this buried in the desktop menus somewhere (usually a configuration or disk utility).

Alternatively, see if the

mkbootdisk

command works. You may have to install this package.

Once you have this boot disk, verify it works.

Reinstall windows.

Boot off of the boot disk and run

lilo

Which will reinstall LILO
